At 717/719 Bienville Street the American Brewing
Co.began producing beer in New Olreans in 1891. It also had a location at 716 Conti
Street. In 1933 it became known as American Beverage Co., Inc. at 730 Bienville Street.
From this location was produced Regal Ale (1933 - 1940, Regal Bock (1933 - 1956),
Regal Beer (1934 - 1962) and Toby Ale (1936 - 1953).
The brewery closed in 1962. It is now
the location of the Royal Sonesta Hotel.
