Shee Lee (parents of Jefferson Parish Sheriff Harry Lee) opened one of the city's first Chinese restaurants, in 1938.
It failed. Bing later opened the Hoi Son in the 600 block of South Rampart Street and the House of Lee at 3131
Veterans Memorial Blvd. in 1959.
