1853 - Elizabeth Kettenring Dutrey
is said to have invented brunch at Dutrey's Restaurant. Some time after the death of her first husband, Louis
Dutrey (a French Market butcher), in 1875 she married Hypolite Begue (the restaurant's bartender) and changed the name
of the restaurant to Begue's.
