"Diamond Jim" Moran took over the lease
at La Louisiane and renamed the restaurant Moran’s La Louisiane. At times, a diamond ring would be stuffed inside a
meatball. For all his notoriety, Diamond Jim only ran the restaurant for four years. He died of a heart attack
in 1958. His sons took over until 1978 when they turned management over to Salvador and Joseph Marcello (until 1993).
