Ernest and Mary Hansen opened their shop in 1939 at
4801 Tchoupitoulas Street, where it remains today. In 1934, Mr. Hansen, a machinist, designed the unique motorized
"Sno-Bliz" machine which he patented along with his "sno-ball".
