1967 - 1968

The Raider team first wrestled in the Louisiana State Tournament in 1967.  Frank Dupre (195 pounds) won the LHSAA Division I State High School Wrestling Championship. The team tool 6th place overall.

The Genesian Players produced Oliver, Androcles The Lion, Carnival, and Our Town during the academic year.

The Genesian Players produced This Property is Condemned, Pyramus & Thysbe, The Bald Soprano, and Meet Me In St. Louis during the academic year.

Paula Petavino was the 1967 Homecoming Queen.

New Orleans Buccaneers, a charter franchises of the American Basketball Association, founded in 1967 was New Orleans' first professional basketball team.  The team was sold in 1970 to Memphis.
