Brother John Fairfax became principal. Genesians The
Genesian Players produced The Matchmaker, All The Way Home, Indians, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown!!!, A Cutting
from Compulsion during the academic year. Football
Don Perret became the Raider's head football coach in 1971. He would remain as head coach at Rummel until 1979.
George Ryan began his career at Rummel as a coaching assistant. The physically small but
domineering "Super Ants" of the football team were so named because the Chalmette Owl coach described their defense
as so quick and agile that confronting them was like stepping into an ant pile. |
