Traditions

Mega Phone -- Passed between the Shaw and Rummel football teams. The winning team held the half red (Rummel school color) and half-green (Shaw school color) "phone" until their next competition.

Canon -- Fired a bland round after each touchdown. Durng the 1960s the canon "fire" concussion blew out the opposing side's stadium lights at City Park Stadium. It was then consigned to the school basement never to be fired again at a game.
